2009 Halloween 5k Race & 1 Mile Fun Run
In 2009 the GCWA teamed up again with the Queen City Striders (QCS) to host the 2 Annual Halloween 5k Race in Midland on October 24, 2009 at 9:00am. Proceeds from the run will help to support ongoing projects of the GCWA. Results from the race can be found on the QCS results page.

Rubber Duck Race
The GCWA also races rubber duckies down George's Creek. If you would
like to sponsor a duckie in our race, please contact Adam Plourde. Sponsorships
begin at $5.00. Prizes will go to sponsors of the first
ten ducks to make it to the finish line .
The GCWA 5th annual rubber duck race will be held
August 21, 2010, during Barton's Party in the Park at
2:00 P.M. Thank you to everyone who sponsored a duck last year, and we hope you'll consider doing so again this year.
